Arriving at the penthouse where he's been staying, Eddie gazes down at his sleeping son, Dylan, and laments having passed down a legacy of darkness and death to him. Contacting the Avengers, Eddie alerts them to implement the plans they developed and leaps off the roof, transforming into Venom. Standing on the roof of a high rise overlooking the nighttime cityscape of Manhattan, Eddie Brock senses that Knull has finally arrived. He the lets go of Eddie, sending him plummeting to the streets far below. Revealing that he is after Dylan, Knull strips the Venom symbiote off Eddie and absorbs it. Eddie Brock decides to call out to Knull, and is taken to the top of the symbiote-covered Empire State Building. Knull then subdues the heroes in the ground with symbiote matter and forms a symbiotic dome around the entirety of the planet, blocking out the Sun. The Sentry is dispatched to destroy Knull, but the God of the Symbiotes quickly turns the tables and kills the Sentry instead, absorbing the Void from within him.
The heroes are ultimately overpowered when Knull himself arrives, heralded by a trio of symbiote-controlled Celestials. Venom reaches the spire established underneath the subway by Carnage during his assault on New York to control his horde and attempts to turn any dragons broken out of Knull's hive to the heroes' side. The X-Men arrive to offer reinforcements, with Storm using her electricity powers to take down the dragons. Captain America assembles a street-level team to evacuate civilians. As the dragons rain down on Manhattan, they explode on impact and cover the city in symbiotic matter. Eddie locks his son Dylan inside the bunker of Sims Tower for his protection. When Knull and his horde of symbiotic dragons reach Earth's orbit, Iron Man detonates the leftover armada of Alliance ships, but they fail to even slow down the incoming threat.
